Tonic herbs or bu yao in Chinese are also referred to as superior medicine in traditional Chinese herbology.   They are some of the most prized plants in the entire Chinese pharmacopoeia.   These herbs are essential to the development of Inner Power.   It is also important that people use tonic herbs properly, as improper use of these herbs can lead to health problems.

There are many categories in traditional Chinese herbology.   However the focus in our time together will be yin and yang tonics, energy tonics, energy movers, blood tonics and blood movers.

Most tonic formulas in traditional Chinese herbology are fairly balanced, with an accent towards boosting energy.   However they include herbs to move blood, purify blood, boost blood cell production, move energy and of course finally increase the amount of energy available.   Just taking a straight tonic herb with no other herbs to harmonize the formula can lead to headaches, fever and fatigue.   However, taking a balanced tonic formula can make vast improvements in the quality of your life.

My Inner Power classes will teach you about herbology in the classical way.   You will learn the taste, directions and organ affinity of each herb in question, as well as being visually identify them.   After being with me, you will feel confident in the use of Chinese herbs to boost your vitality and health.
